There's this guy I like, our families are very close. I was so sure he liked me, then a switch flipped and he began flat out ignoring me. He gave me all the signs while on vacation together, even our family members around us commented on our behavior, suggesting we had feelings for each other. Then bam, no contact. He didn't answer my text and stopped liking my Instagram photos, and began brushing me on Snapchat.

My mom thinks he has commitment issues because his parents went through a nasty divorce and since then he hasn't dated anyone. No girlfriend from 8th grade to senior year... He was also the only one of his siblings who didn't go to therapy so I suppose there might be something he's internalizing. Then his mom texted my mom, they're best friends, that she thinks he is just nervous about ruining the relationship between our families if we were to date and break up. She has said many times she thinks he likes me and has always liked me.

Regardless, his behavior is strange and I'm confused. I would love to hear your opinion! I've liked him for forever; I'm hurt and don't know what to think. :( Why is he acting this way?

There is this guy at my school that I've known for about a year. He is very nice and we used to Snapchat at the beginning of the year and I thought he liked me. We have only had a few conversations in person. Recently I had a weird dream that we were dating which was strange because I hadn't talked to him in a while. After that he started texting me off and on just saying hey and asking me how my day was and stuff but then he just randomly leaves in the middle of the conversation and doesn't reply for a few days or a week. A couple days ago he texted me and said we should hang out and go get something to eat. he seemed really excited about it and he was using a ton of explanation points. I said ok and I'd have to figure out when I was free. I texted him today and told him when I was free and he said maybw Saturday. I said ok I think Saturday is good for me. He just read my text and didn't respond. He does that sometimes where we are in the middle of a conversation that he started or was really into and then he'll just leave me on read and either not text me back at all or text me back half a day or a day later with just Wyd. He is really confusing me does anyone know how I should read this behavior?
