My son is 16 years old and I love him very much.
Since one year to now he has been crying almost every night, I can hear him since my room is right next to his.
We moved about 10 months ago to a place he cannot see his old friends. Maybe he had a crush on some girl, but I don't think so.
He has never had a girlfriend, not that I know.
When I ask him what will he do for living he always answers he doesn't know, even to his teachers. He loves football (soccer) but he is not good playing it (he says). He also enjoys pro-wrestling but he says he doesn't want to end his life depressed, whitout any family and doing drugs like most of them. He has tried guitar but since he is left-handed he always ends up quitting. I bought him a BMX bike for him to get out of home since he never gets out. He broke his foot on the first day and quit. He always says he cannot do anything right and that he has no tallent or gift.
His sister (who is 14) is very social and says that he has Social Anxiety and Dysthymia, so I put him on the school Psychologist, but he always ends up missing the sessions.
Some weeks ago I was cleaning up his room and I found razor blades inside a book. I've looked to his wrists but there is no sign of cuts, although I found blood on his boxers, so he can be cutting himself on his legs.
He is good at school and he his teachers always tell me that he is super intelligent but shy and introverted so he doesn't participate.
By the way his dad is in France and we are divorced so he doesn't have that male support and attitude that he would probably like.
Please tell what to do and how to help him, I don't want to find my son dead one day. I ask him what's wrong but he always puts on the fake happy face. Should I confront him, tell his dad, move again? Please help me.

So me and this guy I've known for 3 years, have chemistry and attraction and tension. We've been friends with benefits for 2 years, on behalf of me making it that way. He is a shy guy and he has been very hurt and run over by Beeches. I want to prove to him that I am not like those other girls, and I want to be with him, even if we don't put labels and just make it exclusive. He is kind of a recluse and has a hard time with speaking about emotions. I know he has feelings for me, and he knows I have feelings for him, but I want more from him. I feel like I need to put a fire under his ass to get him to open up. I am just afraid that he will not understand where I am coming from, and it will either back fire, or he'll try harder to make it work. But I am at a point of either letting him know, or just cutting him out of my life and moving on forever. What do u guys think I should do. Tell him how I feel and see his reciprication, or just let it be as it is (but that will definitely lead to heart ache), or just cut off everything since he hasn't made any further advancements. My bf recently cut off his female friend. He said it was bc he had a huge crush on her before we met (I knew about this) & was redeveloping serious feelings for her.

When he confessed his love to her before meeting me, she rejected him (I was never worried about her, it was clear she had zero feelings for him & she moved several states away months ago.

after she rejected him he started to move on from her, but she didn't believe him. He said when he met me he thought I was pretty & sweet, but he only pursued me so she'd stop thinking he still liked her. He didn't anticipate we'd become serious.

8 mos into our relationship he started falling for her again so cut her off. After cutting her off he told me that before we met he was very much in love w/ her. He talked about how he would've done anything for her, she made his life so happy & simple, etc. He brought her to meet his parents (thats a huge deal, I'm the only other girl who's met his parents). He showed me a pic he had of her hidden i bc it had sentimental value & he offered to shred it in front of me.

He told me once he ended their friendship it helped him fall in love w/ me even more. He said she has some qualities I'm lacking, & he told her- "its wrong to have such strong feelings for someone else while I have a gf." He told me she was a threat to our relationship, & she had "a weird effect" on him.

I'm so glad he was honest & took the initiative to cut her off bc he realized it was a problem...but I don't know. If he loves me like he says then how could he develop such strong feelings for another girl? Should I dump him?

It hurt so much to hear him speak so affectionately about her, to hear that she has what I don't, that he fell more in love w/ me once she was out of the picture, & that he asked me out just to prove that he's over her. What do u think? Any advice/opinions will help.
