Okay, so you want to do something crazy like sky diving or bungee jumping or cliff diving. Something that might be life threatening or really dangerous.

Your boyfriend/fiance/husband says no, an outright no. He won't back down, he isn't okay with it at all, and if you do it he tells you there are going to be some serious problems between you two.

Okay, he's usually reasonable, always encourages discussing things, and this is the first time he's ever just said no, and won't talk about it or negotiate. He thinks it's far too dangerous and won't change his mind.

He's not saying you can't do it, but he is saying he won't be happy at all if you do.

In other words he's putting his foot down on this, and taking charge as the man in the relationship, because he is really afraid you'll be hurt.
