Search Results: guys ask for your number and then not use it

So there's this girl who I just met like 2 months ago. The first time we hung out it was with a bunch of other people. Then that same group was going to hang out again the next week and beforehand my friend told me that the girl was interested in me. After that night I chatted her on fb and got her number. I texted her every so often since then and it started out that we would hold full coversations till one of us fell asleep. However in the past 2-3 weeks, she takes a while to respond and ends them without saying anything even though she still uses full sentences and asks questions and seems involved in the conversation. Yesterday she didn't respond at all when I chatted her on Facebook. I was thinking of asking her to hang out just to see what she says, even though she doesn't seem interested at all. SHould I do it and will it make it awkward afterwards? Also, she's not interested right? We don't really talk in person since those first two nights since we don't ever see each other. We are both pretty shy which doesn't help things
