Some argue that it's wrong to keep fish in an enclosed area rather than the ocean or river. I'm undecided about this. I see their point that fish don't get a choice and have limited space in a unnatural environment, but having the freedom to be outside of the tank brings dangers like predators and starvation.

Most humans choose to live in a concrete filled city and spend countless hours making currency rather than living in a natural setting, off the earth. It seems opponents of fish or even pet owners seem to imply animals would choose their natural living setting while most often humans don't. It's hard to test what a fish would choose, but with dogs and cats they clearly want to live with us, given the freedom loss most sacrifice.
