I think guys are quick to jump to conclusions because they have big egos especially teenage boys and will assume a girl likes him. Girls tend to doubt themselves more. But a lot of guys are also pretty oblivious when it comes to a girl flirting with them. On the other hand, girls obsess over every little detail like "omg he looked at me. He asked to borrow my pencil! He sat next to me! He likes me!" So...

There's a guy that I've hung out with a few times this summer who definitely liked me. The thing is he ended up feeling rejected by me. He's 100% inexperienced with girls and has a pretty big ego. After to talking to my friend whose good friends with him and telling her everything that happened, she thought he obviously felt rejected and is trying not to like me, hence why he isn't contacting me. We were supposed to hang then when that day came I ended up doing something else but he never contacted me. I messaged him later and said I wish I had seem him before he left for school again but that if I couldn't it was cool seeing him and I hoped he'd have a nice trip. Turns out he couldn't leave for a health issue, my friend told me cause he asked her to hang when she was out of town and told her. They have a totally platonic relationship. Anyways she said I should contact him again so I did saying I was sorry about his health and if he was going to be in town longer maybe we'd hang. He saw both those messages after a few days of sending them even though he had been online a ton before looking, but never responded. In person he was the clingy one and I definitely wasn't, but I do NOT want to seem clingy. So far what I've don't hasn't been. But I've talked to my best guy friend and he thinks this guy is being childish and a dick and that i should just hook up with someone else or i should just call him. I told one of my girlfriends and she thinks i ahould contact him too. They both think one last time. I'll do it, cause i feel like coming from me it wouldn't be clingy. The thing is though if it was just him feeling rejected he shouldn't by now because I've contacted him 3 times with no response, but he does have a big ego that would deflate him if knocked. But I feel like its not rejection anymore, i feel like his trying to not like me has turned into dislike! What do you think? And when i contact him again should i call him to hang out then if he's free or text him?

My long tint friend ended up being my boss because I was hired to be his right hand person. Not like a secretary but like an associate. It turned out to be a mistake.

When I got hired he stopped talking to me. Didn't train me. Nothing. I was always left alone no one to talk to and I didn't exist to him. Blow to my ego.

This became a big issue because he thought I developed an attitude problem when I was just so disappointed at what I thought was me losing a friend and he was a bad boss. Plus he was being territorial and telling people not to bug me.

Then it got awkward cause when the guys at work wanted to go to a family fun center he begged me to come so it was. 5 of us. I was happy he went out of his way to beg me to come. He spent the entire time goofing off with the others barely said a word to me. So I shut down. This happened a lot meetings, after work stuff I'd not get acknowledged. It's had me in years a couple of times and we had to have heart to heart talks I don't know why so I got quiet and shut down. Later in I found out it was cause he didn't know what to say to me cause I was always quiet. I kept telling him I got quiet because of being left out but he still thinks it got awkward cause my quietness caused it. So I accepted we each had a diff view of the situation.

So I initiated a lot more. Overall it has made him initiate more he gave me a thoughtful and expensive gift for Christmas but yet he still treats me diff than others. Granted in quiet but he jokes and is talkative with everyone at work and outside of work.

With me , he hasn't ever ask me to join for lunch, barely asks how I'm doing, barely talks to me about anything work related unless he has a question. Although he's improving and obviously trying I don't get what's stopping him?
