I recently relocated to a new city for my career. I decided to give online dating a shot and get my social life up and moving. I joined a site and met this handsome guy on there just one year older than me. We ended up messages each other and swapped phone numbers. We texted for 3 days straight (from good morning to good night... all started by him) and he planned a dinner date and we meet half way.
I thought the date went great... great conversation spanning on a variety of subjects, we flirted, teased each other. Great eye contact and I thought we communicated very well. No awkward silences at all. He was a perfect gentleman (originally from the mid-west), he opened all the doors for me, even the car doors, and paid for dinner fully, even though I offered to help. The night ended in him walking me to my car and we hugged and said good night. Even tho there was no kiss... I tried to signal him and I lingered but I don't think he picked up on it. Once I got home... I sent him a reassuring text of "thank you, I had a great time, good night" and he responded with similar.
The next day... No text from him.

So should I wait for him to text me first? maybe give him a few days?
or should I text him first?
or should I take a hint and drop it because he is not interested?

Dating is so freaking confusing with this instant gratification technology we have available to us.

Hey guys!

SO I have been chatting with this guy for about two weeks now. We finally went out last week and it went so so well! Usually first dates are kind of awkward and slow but we really clicked and chatted away for a few hours.

Throughout the date, his body language was really open (stretching a lot, reaching his feet out towards me, lots of hand motions and eye contact) and we both laughed a lot. It was sort of awkward, however, ending the date as we went our separate ways. We didn't kiss or hold hands or anything.
But as soon as I got home, he shot me a text making sure I was safe and we've been continuing to chat by text almost all week long.

He's made lots of statements about things we should do in the future (movie marathons, go to each other's classes, ) and referenced even more times that he'll be somewhere, but he never mentions real times or places for us to meet up.

What should I do? Should I initiate the second "date" if we can even call it that?

Also is it weird we're not friends on Facebook? how do I go about initiating that haha

Junior year he would come up behind me every day and throw himself on me until I said he was crushing me. That was last year and now my feelings for him are so strong I would love to hug him at school since it's okay to hug but not kiss.

He refused a hug once and that hurt me and I told him never again. About a week ago we had a long tight hug and he rubbed his cheek on mine while holding me close. I really wanted to kiss him!

Yesterday he hugged a guy friend right in front of me and I asked him why I have to beg for hugs. He said he wasn't sure I liked hugs! I said always!

Today we were at a party and he only danced with me. I drove him home but was too nervous to say anything serious about us.

He took pics of us at the party with his phone and randomly puts the phone in my face to take a pic. He cooks food for me and brings it in just for me and him and sometimes feeds me with a spoon or puts candy right in my mouth with his fingers.

From stuff I've read on here, he seems to be painfully shy. He's told me he's an open book to me and he's told me tons of personal stuff and vice versa.

I really want the physical contact with him since as friends that's the only acceptable thing to do. How do I get him to offer hugs or not refuse mine? I don't want to seem clingy or needy.

I know he likes contact with me. We're always sitting close, brushing hands or fingers or playing footsie under the table. We block each other's way a lot so we have a reason to brush past each other and put our hands on each other.

He finds me all the time at school just to hang out. We talk or just sit and make eyes at each other quietly. I've heard that he's had a least three people drive him past my house and he's threatened to ring my doorbell if he's jogging by (he lives four streets away).

Did he stop hugging me because he has feelings for me too and knows the tension between us is making things awkward? The last hug felt like it was leading somewhere else.

My boyfriend for a year talked to me about his personality and that he can't be a good man no matter how we tried and he will be always a bad choice for me because he's pretty bad with everyone except me and he was sad. I tried to hug him but he pulled away and told me that he don't want to see me again and he was avoiding me for a week. Yesterday i was sitting in my house thinking about his words and he came to visit me and he kiss me after i opened the door and told me that he's so sorry and he can't live without me and that week was like hell without me, because i'm crazy about him i couldn't leave him and i forget his past because i know only one thing that he's very honest with me about everything and he loves me more than anything else. I don't anyone to say that I'm dating him because he's handsome and attractive or whatever, i loved his deep personality and i really changed him but he can't see that. I mean he's not a murder anymore and this is a good thing.
The point of all this he's not that bad in my eyes.
