Over the past few weeks I have become totally smitten with a long distance crush. The short version - we work together (different companies), he lives on the other coast. In recent months I started to think he was flirting: touching, hugs for greetings snd goodbyes, more personal conversations.

He was recently in town and it escalated into a lunch date and a parting comment about wanting to hang out on his next visit. Combine this with comments about me visiting over the past couple months and it adds up to something. We uncovered we have a lot in common, and never seem to run out of things to talk about.

He returned home a couple weeks ago and we've been in touch via text. Now it looks like I'll be starting a new job. He suggested we celebrate by me visiting him and set a tentative date.

And now I realize I have no idea what this means about where things are headed. I know he is recently single. He knows I am as well. We haven't spent time together on a real "date." In terms of physical intimacy, it has been lots of hugs but nothing more.

My friend thinks this offer is code word for netflix and chill and I should plan accordingly. I wouldn't mind staying with him, and he has plenty of space. But really I just want to get to know him as a person at this stage. I don't like to jump into sex.

I could also make the trip about seeing other friends/family and only spend a little bit of time with him. That seems wrong too as a weekend would give us enough time to figure out if something is there. I think we'd have a great time planning multiple "dates."

Trying my best to keep this as short as possible, so please, forgive me if this is too long. Anyway, here is the problem I've been having for like one year and a half now. So there is this boy who transfered to our class during 9th grade, we became good friends and frankly, I never believed I would end up having a crush on him. Anyway, so our classmates practically know that I have a crush on him and so does he., because of the way we both act so throughout the months his gotten.. distant. He would rarely talk to me, we wouldn't tease each other on things and give jokes. We are now in the 10th grade and now, I would notice he would always stare at me and when I notice he would turn away, I approached him in our class to start a conversation with him but he just said that I wasn't suppose to be next to him because our classmates would tease about us being a 'couple' The thing about it that I find really strange is that he can touch me, like on my arm, like for example I have this scar that is permanently there cause of him. Tease me, stare at me and sometimes talk to me but when I talk to him sometimes, he would ignore me, he doesn't want me touching him as well. I honestly and frankly do not know if he likes me and doesn't want our classmates to find out or it's a just teenage boy pride or his just nervous in certain situations. To me, he isn't shy, just always quiet sometimes and other times his loud, goofy and silly not to mention what really confuses me is that, there are times, he doesn't like when our names are being mentioned together in terms of relationships and sometimes he is like okay with it and just smiles and laughs. Help! Any advice?
