I really like this guy, but I think he's liked me before I've liked him. What do you think?

- Texts me back, even if there was nothing to talk about (and he always boasts about how he doesn't respond to pointless texts)
- We've kind of flirted, but that was months ago
- When I told him I'd never been bridge jumping, he insisted that I let him take me, and wouldn't take no for an answer
- Wrote "Snap me ;) :*" next to his Snapchat name when he put it into my notes
- Strikes up a conversation when he sees me
- Isn't afraid to talk to me around any of his friends, despite him being older than me
- My best friend told me he "definitely has a crush on me" before she knew I liked him
- Another one of my best friends is constantly trying to set us up, but doesn't know I like him
- I always catch him staring at me when we're around; if I turn around at any given time, he's looking my way, but doesn't react when I look back
- He gets really protective when something happens to me; we've been getting in trouble lately and if he or one of our other friends gets in trouble he's okay with it, but if it's me, ABSOLUTELY NOT!
- He hasn't done this recently, but up until about a month ago he'd try to sit next to me, touch me, hold my hand, etc. when he could

So I'm in 8th grade and I liked this guy in 7th He's a sweet guy however he has a bad reputation (He has had 12 Gf's and almost all of them plus some other people say he is a jerk) My friend liked him which made me mad and he liked her back but he said that he loved me and was/is going to ask me out. I soon found out though that behind my back they had a secret thing going on and when I confronted him he lied to my face. So now I don't really like him anymore and have started to like a guy in my math class again I liked him for awhile but I never really thought anything of it plus we moved seats for awhile and I don't really talk to him other then in Math. However we sit next to each other again and he has a crush on me so I have started falling for him again. The 7th grade guy, today, told my friend that he wants to be with me and that they should not hang out anymore because he said he never wants to hurt me again So now I'm confused as 2 who I should go after? My best friend's bf best friend is the 7th grade guy so the 4 of us all hangout together as well... We are going hiking this weekend
