So I'm a junior in high school and I had been talking to this guy since the last months of our sophomore year and over the summer he told me he liked me and I told him I liked him but we didn't date over the summer school started and we still talked and my close friend Andy started liking him they started talking and I was like whatever although when she would tell me their convos I would get jealous but I already knew that I was gonna be moving but weeks b4 I moved I had gone to his house and we studied and b4 I left I was gonna kiss him but I didn't have the bal!$ to do it but we still kept talking and basicly I gave up right after I moved I didn't move far away that we wouldn't be able to see each other we only live no more than an hour with traffic. But when I moved I cut communication with Andy cause me and her had gotten into a fight my 1st week at my knew school and I found out 3 weeks ago that they had been dating for almost 4 months I had no clue. The worse part was that he then transferred to my school b4 winter break and he never mentioned her and when she did something stupid he called me last week it was late but I talked to him for and hour and he told me that he wanted us to date but I gave up when I moved and she was their so he started dating her in october but she knew she was moving in November and they have been together since their planning on getting married right after we al graduate high school.

And now I see him in the halls and I have l the same lunch as him and in the mornings I also see him I give him hugs so he doesn't notice that I'm hurting in the inside but its so hard to hear how happy they both are together because I still have feeling for him. And I'm friends with Andi again I talked to her all the time and she moved about 8 hours away from him so they don't see each other.

So my question is have you ever let go of someone you cared for so much that when you found out they wher dating someone else it crushed you and wish you could go back and give it all you have to be with them?

Sent out a mass Christmas text two days ago to my whole phone book. My ex replied and kept carrying on conversation, congratulating me on getting into different colleges and all that. I resisted the conversation for a while but eventually I gave in because I really like talking to him. We talked from 10 till around 1 and he didn't text back. Tuesday he responded in the late afternoon still making an effort with the same conversation. then he didn't reply back till ten at night and we talked till 2 in the morning. I fell asleep and replied yesterday morning but he didn't respond

He kept brining up things we talked about in the past like marriage in general and kept talking about how many kids he hopes to have in the future and how he hopes hell get married, in the past he always told me he hoped to marry me and he wanted me to be his wife some day. He plays so many games, Two months before their break up we started becoming friends for a little and he tried making me jealous but I didn't react.

I could tell he was enjoying talking to me but I don't know what this is all leading up to. Him and his girlfriend broke up in September after a year and she was the rebound off of our relationship but I feel like he is trying to rebound now with me maybe? I don't know what to think of all this. Talking to him felt like things were exactly how they were when we were good and dating but this always happens, we have a conversation and then I don't talk to him for another 3-5 months. Usually our conversations don't last long and he doesn't bother to respond hours later and make this big of an effort at conversation but am I just hoping we have more of a future?
