So I just got asked out by a girl who is a friend of mine through her friend (I guess she was really shy) and I had to decline because well I simply dont approve of the fundamentals of islam as well as some specific quotes. It would just be terrible dating a girl which such views. And I was pretty sure muslims only dated eachother anyways so I dont get it. What suprised me was what her friend replied with. "what are you racist?". Islam isn't a race lol. I wouldn't date a muslim girl even if she was a human snowman. I mean I can be friends with a muslim obviously as long as we dont disagree too much but a relationship would just be too much. Not to mention why would I have been friends with her to begin with if I was racist. Am I racist for declining her? I mean for me it's very important that every relationship Im in can go somewhere and I couldn't marry a muslim woman. I mean just look at this quote from the quran I googled up. Statistics say that while Whites/Caucasians commit more crimes than non-whites by sheer numbers alone, people state that statistics also say that by per capita calculation, African-Americans and Latinos commit more crimes overall than whites/Caucasians. Now based on rape/sexual assault statistics, it's obviously the same but according to per capita logic, Middle Eastern/Arabic, Southeast Asian men and Latino men are "more likely" to be sex offenders than Whites/Caucasians and any other groups.

The irony is that while I've encountered more than a ton of whites on the internet who judge minorities off of statistics alone, they keep pointing out how black men-on-white women sexual assault is the most likely to happen as if white women are the #1 victims of sexual assault yet according to US statistics, it's actually Native American women who are the most likely victims of sexual assault, even more so than white women.

The one important thing that while the US statistics can be reliable for most part, people need to understand is that even the US Statistics can't give you a 100% accurate assessment of things in general because of the amount of unreported crimes we have. In fact, studies say that sexual assault is the least reported crime in America so for those that will based their judgments on an entire race/ethnic group and/or gender and assume that either all minority males are rapists and the least likely victims or all males in general (regardless of ethnicity) are rapists and the least likely victims, consider this fact right here that people often ignorantly overlook.

I bring this topic up because as a Latino male, I'm often fed up with encountering idiots who often stereotype me as a perverted rapist, a wife beater or an uneducated thug just because "statistics says so".
