I've been with my boyfriend now for several months, we both love eachother immensely and love being with eachother. We are both at uni and he is in a house of 5 other guys, and I basically live with them. I get on with them all really well and appreciate that he wants to see his friends, but I feel that I don't get enough quality time with him.

His bedroom is where the PS4 is, so it acts as a bit of a social hub. Throughout the day he's normally playing fifa with the guys, or watching football. I try to get involved as much as I can, and I do really like the PS4 myself, but as soon as all the guys are together, they go on career mode and I don't get a look in, I generally just watch videos or go on the laptop on his bed until they're done. This is normally the situation all day, he even opens his room up even if I'm still dozing in bed. They'll play on it until they need to do something, or watch a match, then go back on until about 1am.

It seems that the only time I get with him is at night, where we'll watch a film, but by this point we're both really tired. We'll probably have sex, then he'll fall asleep. It's the same if we ever get time during the day too, he wants to try to fit a quickie in.

He does spend quite a lot of money on me, and he tries to keep me happy. Like a week and a half ago (after I got upset because I felt like I never got to spend time with him), he paid for us to go to York and we spent a night in a hotel. On the night we went for dinner and cocktails, he treated me with perfume and makeup, but since then, the only proper time we've had has been lunch in Costa yesterday for an hour, which is something I suggested.

Part of the reason why he can't spend time with me is because one of us may be working, but as soon as that isn't the case, he goes back to playing on fifa throughout the day, or maybe watching a film with me at one point during the week if Im upset about something.

Am I missing something? All I want to do is see him properly

My bf's mother is the type that gives you issues in the beginning (not with me but with his other ex gfs... she hated every single one of them and even made one cried).

However, my boyfriend informed me about this in advance and explained that his mother would tell him that if he ever got married, then the girl would have to go through ends to prove herself to her and start with buying her good perfumes esp if it were her b-day or Christmas (not cheap things) and be a great cook.

I find this kind of manipulative and too much but ok. I will try my best though. So far, I've only been introduced to her once and no opinion about me (neither positive nor negative) has been said other than ''she has a nice name''.

I have a few friends who never wear makeup, bite their nails and essentially fart and stuff around their boyfriends. I do not mean to be judgmental but to me that seems absurd. I am not very high maintenance but I am very girly- I like to make sure my hair and nails and everything looks nice and I wear dresses and plan out my outfits and wear perfume etc and would never fart around my boyfriend it just doesn't seem very feminine to me and it would feel like a hugeee turn off. Oh and to add to it they are not masculine in shape... like they still might wear dresses every once in awhile but 9/10 times no.

Anyways what are your thoughts boys?
