There's a guy whom befriended me along time ago on Facebook; we had a mutual friend, by which he found me on FB and commented on pics of me a few years ago. At the time, i had a boyfriend and didn't reply to his comments like "cute" or "your smile is beautiful." This mutual friend was only a girl that I had class with in high school. I'm a sophomore now in college and been single for a year. He will occasionally leave sweet comments on my Instagram AND Facebook pictures; which nowadays I do reply back in a flirty way. Other guys do comment on my pics BUT I only reply back to him. He knows i'm single because it says so on my Facebook. Even after all this time, we've never met in person, I want him to message me first because i do find him very verryy attractive. We've been continuing this back and forth flirting yet he still does not ask for my number, nor tries to message me at all. So, should I make the first move? I'm not scared to, I'd just like to know what I should do... I don't want to come off as weird. Should I just not pursue it? He too has girls comment on his selfies and guys do with me; so I have a feeling he might be a player, but I could be wrong. What should i do?

A few months ago when school started, i had a few classes with this guy that i eventually developed a crush on.
After a while, he started pursuing me and would stop by my room with his friends a few nights in a row and I could definitely tell he liked me, and he asked for my number and social networking. At this point everything was good, but our conversation would always be kind of dull, but i knew it was just cause we didn't know each other and didn't really have anything to talk about.
after a while, he stopped coming to my room, but we would but we saw each other in class and he would kind of flirt with me.
After some time we started having movie nights and would kiss a little, and everything was fine, but i still felt like i just didn't really know him like i wanted to.
So, over holiday break i didn't hear anything from him at all, so I just decided he didn't like me anymore and to let it go, but when we got back to school, he started flirting with me really heavily in class again. I asked if he was interested in me cause its hard for me to read him and he said he's interested and he just can't read me at all.

Now Im just confused because I feel like we don't know eachother and i really want to get to know him because I really like him and i want him to want to spend more time with me. I know once we break that barrier that things will be okay, its just that unless we are in person he doesn't put any effort into wanting to hang out or texting me. I always have to mention it to him. he's just really nonchalant about it.
I still want him to come to visit, i mean he knows where I stay, but then since I know we're really alike i feel like he thinks the same thing, like why don't i just go to his place.
Point of the question, is should I keep trying to get to know him, or does it seem like he's not interested anymore?
im confused since all my friends tell me to drop him but i really feel we could work out, i just want to get to know him more :p
