There is this guy that I went to high school with... I really liked him but my friend did too, so to me he was off limits. We never talked but he would stare at me everyday in class. My friend would constantly talk about him, so one day I decided I would text his friend to see if he liked her too, since I had the friends number, just hadn't texted him before. When I texted the friend, the friend asked if I thought he (the friend, not the crush) was cute and said he had a low self esteem... which I should have know was a trick, he was popular, I said "well you aren't ugly" after that I got no reply so I texted back and said "I've gotta ask you something"... again, no reply. The next day in school, my crush started to tease me about liking his friend, I told him I didn't like his friend, but that didn't stop him from teasing. Finally, I gave up on trying to explain myself, I just ignored him and let him tease me. He continued to do this for the rest of the school year, while still starring at me during class. Finally, after he graduated, my friend (not the one who likes him, another girl) was talking to him and brought my name up to him and he said "I can't stand her, she's annoying" but I never did anything to him, we hardly talked... after that I got his number from her to find out his problem and he started saying that he didn't want to talk to me and that he couldn't stand me, mind you this was years later...

I just seen him at the mall last night (he didn't see me though), and now I can't get him off my mind. Why is he acting like that? I still really like him, is there anything I can do to make him feel differently about me?

I became friends with another summer intern last year (someone, as it turns out, goes to the same out of town school as me). He would invite me to lunch, we went for drinks, had heart to hearts, he flirted, encouraged me to pursue photography because he thought I was good at it, called me cute, said he'd checked out my ass, always texted to make sure I got home okay, sent me links to things he thought I would find funny, and said we should hang out when we got back to school. We had plans to do things, they never happened. He got in touch once a month, maybe, during the year. I forgot about him, dated people. We got back for the summer and he acted buddy-buddy again. He flirted a little bit, but he doesn't invite me out anymore; he suggested we see a movie and get drinks, but neither happened. I confronted him about what happened to our so-called friendship, and he explained that he had been too busy during the school year; he said he'd try to do more - but really nothing has happened. He tries to be in touch some days at work, but that's it. I bumped into him today and I was nervous, and shaking, and my heart was beating like crazy - I don't know what the physical reaction suggests.

After this run in I told him I was sorry for sending a passive-aggressive text, and that I figured stuff out and was sorry for acting like a jerk. And basically just said "Peace". He said "I found a vanilla coke, be jealous." I'm not sure if I should try and explain something to him AGAIN. I'm not sure if I should explain I had (have?) feelings. Or even that at the beginning of the summer I was DTF.

What should I do?
