Search Results: girls dont show interest in me

it seems everywhere I go I get these girls trying to get my attention and I avoid eye contact they end up sitting near me and giving me compliments knowing I can hear them etc. its gotten to the point where I wear my headphones everywhere I go so I can block the outside world completely. some times when I do make eye contact it seems like thats the exact time girls look at me, and a lot of them smile but I dont smile back I just look away lol. is that considered rejection? Its not like im picky or I think im better lol im just not comfortable out in public. So what do you do when a person you like just doesn't pay you any mind? and what would you do if he/she smiles back when you smile at them? does that make a big difference. I have been acting like this for far to long, I need some tips to show girls that I am also interested in them like they are with me. I am 19 and I am a virgin. thats my case

well there is this shy girl i've been talking to from my work, she shows interest, so i got her number and we started texting like everyday (she doesn't text me first most of the time but will talk for hours when i start a convo) (she also sends a lot of emojis blushing, angel') also everytime i asked her to hang out with me she gives me kinda sketchy answers so i asked her whatsup with that and she said we will hang out
but she didn't want to take things too fast because she dont wanna get hurt, we kinda have a lot of things in common too she snaps me everyday too, when we talk at work and text everything seems to get along/smooth but yeah she is kinda sketchy so things dont really add up in my mind. I also asked her if you dont like me you could just say it when she said she didn't know if she wanted to hang out and she was like 'nooo thats not what im saying' thanks for reading and the help!

Me: nerdy, skinny guy, 20yo, med school, funny enough you'll like me but not interesting enough you'll miss me much. Mostly an average joe beyond that.
Her: smoking hot 23yo, med school, pretty outgoing, finds me funny, loves when I tease her, usually is over-the-top happy to see me in particular.

We met each other because of a common friend back in April. She always laughed at my jokes and she looked to me with that kind of positive expectation, a sort of wonder in her eyes.

We kept going with our lives. But everytime we meet she shows pretty much the same interest as the day we met and overall she's a really good person.

But there are underlying problems:

1-She used to date one of my pals roughly a year and a half ago. They went out for like, 4 dates or so, but they didn't commit, and Im not clear why. He's much more interesting than me in almost every way, and while they'd barely have to see each other and he's a pretty trustworthy "bros-before-hoes" guy, I worry that she might hit it off with him again.

2-I dont have a car. College is expensive as fuck. I can't afford it right now. I worry that she might lose interest altogether since A) society still expects men to drive their dates and B) I won't be able to spend as much money as I'd like with her. My friend she used to date doesn't have any of those problems, never did.

3-Maturity. Women at this age usually have a mentality that most men only reach years after them. I feel like if I make a move she might react badly because she might think of me as a "kid" of sorts.

4-More people than I wanted to already know Im into her (always mind who's on the hallway behind you), and they might ruin it.

It's pretty clear why it might not work, or where I might fuck it up along the way. This is seriously a girl I wanna hit it off with, and while I won't feel bad if things dont go as well as I want them to, I will feel bad if I end up not even making out with her, which to me is total failure.
