This guy I've liked forever was working at the school blood drive the day I gave blood. Just as I was finishing up, he left his friends to go sit at the prize table (we get prizes for giving blood). That could've been pure coincidence, but I can't help but hope it was his subtle way of making sure we talked. As I approached, his eyes flicked to me, then he looked down.
Another Girl: Hey (my name), pick what you want off the table.
Me: What am I allowed to take?
Girl: Whatever. Day's almost over, so we're not doing the chip thing anymore. So there's beads, restaurant gift cards, candy...
Him: And whatever this thing is *points to an ugly candle thing*
Me: A candle? Seems a little random.
Him: (jokingly) Why do you say that? It's beautiful!
Me: *laughs* I think I'll pass.
Him: Oh come on! It'd look great in your room! (falters) err... house... *looks down awkwardly for some reason *
Me: Nah, you can keep it.
Him: You're no fun.
Guy friend that likes me and knows I like my crush: (cuts in as soon as he sees us talking) Oh, but (my name), it'd help you in precalc!
Him: *silent, looking down*
Me: Aaaannnddd it'd do that how?
Guy friend: Good luck charm
Me: Haha yeah, failed that test today, by the way!
*bell rings*
Me: Well, I better go. See ya!
Guy friend: Bye!
Girl: See ya!
Him: *just looks*

So what was that? Was he flirting? Or was it just a friendly, no matter how random, conversation? He's been sending me mixed signals, so I'm not sure if he likes me back.

i do not get some guys. the guy i like ALWAYS responds back to me when i text him, but he NEVER initiates talking first. I get so annoyed that im the only one doing it. it kinda means i like him more oviously thats why im doing it. If he liked me a lot or was interested in me im sure he would start initiating too. Its nice of him to never ignore me at all, he is friendly. My previous crush i text him once & he never answered back, fully ignored me :(. he wasn't even friendly. worst all he was a family friend. that was last year & he never got back to me ever. at least my crush now texts back even if he doesn't start the convo. in the msgs, he puts smileys a lot , called me cutie but have a feeling he says it to lot of girls. he "liked" a lot of my fb pics & statuses. the last status he liked was "being single used to mean that nobody wanted you. Now it means you're pretty, sexy & you're taking your time deciding how you want your life to be and who you want to spend it with!". we talked about when we went to school, work, etc. I even asked him if he wants to hang out one day to go for a coffee. he said yes np he will let me know. which i doubt he will. i dont know why agree then :(. then he would always end the convo quick & say g2g ill message u later cutie but he never does. i dont know why say it then if you won't?

i know the best thing to do is back off, no more starting convos, liking his pics or statuses. i should see if he will chase me back. maybe he will think where did she go? she use to talk to me a lot . so i guess you can say he's sending me mixed signals. he should be the one to ask me out i know but i hinted so he won't feel rejected. im not sure if he's just shy & thats why he's not starting to talk but responds. If a guy likes you he should though. i told him to talk to me anytime he wants dont be shy. he said sorry & it sucks to be shy. I think he talks to tons of other girls, he has many on fb & his exes. He is single though.
