We used to have a thing for each other. It ended with him saying he felt like our religious differences would not allow anything real to form between us and better to end it now before either of us gets hurt. To be honest, he just denied liking me and iced me out. I found out the real reasons from his best guy friend. Currently, about a few weeks ago, he wants us to be good friends so we are still a part of each others lives.

He wants to talk about everything. Last night we were talking about a guy who I am close friends with and who he recently met through an academic program. We'll call him Tom. I referenced something Tom said several times. When he asked which one, I said "my Tom". He immediately interrupted the flow of what I was saying to first call me out for saying "my Tom" and then was like "you know he's gay right?". I told him yes. We were good friends and I know that. He then asked me again, worried that I didn't understand what he was saying.

Was he worried that I might be falling for a gay guy and wanted to warn me as a concerned friend or was he being jealous? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm just not in a good spot right now because I really care about him and don't like the way he refuses to be with me, acts like we are, but wants to give it the name of friendship. Like I don't talk to any of my guy friends late at night for over two hours or text back and forth all day like we are both currently doing.

I come from a somewhat religious family so cursing is a no-no, but being a 23 year old who is often around friends, occasionally I'll throw an F bomb around family. Worst mistake ever (lol). My family acts like I'm too angelic to curse or such words shouldn't be used because I'm a young lady. Which is right, but I'm from a generation that doesn't think too much of that. Have you ever cursed around family and felt bad? Opinions.
