Do you even notice it? Or are people today just completely desensitized because there's so much trash in the media like talking about the Kardashians or whatever?

I personally avoid the really trashy stuff, but still whatever I look at -- whether it's watching TV, or going to a movie, or listening to the radio -- they're trying to sell sex.

I don't want to sound like a prude, but does anyone else from this generation feel like society has gone overboard?

People put sex where it doesn't even belong, like I'm watching a TV show I like, and the writers will find some way to have the main characters doing it be central to the plot, as if the whole world revolves around sex. That's just prime time network TV. You look at HBO, and it's like they have mandatory nudity in every episode. And I understand why people think HBO has good shows that win all these awards, but every single one of them emphasizes sex.

Then you turn on the radio, and it's more sex. Asking some stupid question like if the sex isn't good, does that give you a right to cheat on someone? And a lot of the music that gets frequently played is about sex, in some cases completely misogynist.

It seems like a bunch of brainwashing, telling people that sex isn't a big deal. Like it's to be expected, and you're weird if you want to wait until marriage, or you think that sex should be more intimate than how it's portrayed.

When I was growing up in the 80's (which shouldn't be that long ago), I remember that even having a single kiss in a movie would be enough to give it a PG-13 rating, and you couldn't even have two people in bed together in less than an R-rated movie. Now it's like sex is specifically sold to teenagers, and even as an adult, I get tired of it.

So, I've been a fanatic gamer since I was 3 years old. Not in a "mom's basement boy" sense; I love games for what they are; a form of art. Just how many people enjoy watching movies, reading books, or painting, I love the storylines, the adrenaline rush and suspense that comes from games so much, that I'm lately trying my hand at writing them.

The thing is, for some reason, gamers are usually viewed as computer-addicted nerds who have no social life whatsoever. I'd rather stay away from that stereotype, because I actually don't fit in: I've got a lot of friends -best friends and friends I just hang out with-, I had a 2 year long relationship (including sex) with a beautiful girl, and I actually practice kickboxing and workout 5-6 days a week. I AM introverted and shy, and that's one part of the question that I'd like to point out. Some times, I'm afraid that admitting to be a gamer sends girls running away, and I'm wondering if this is the reason why I can't get a date for the last year!

Also, it seems so incredibly hard to find a gamer girl to date! I want to be able to sit down, play, chat and even fight with my girlfriend because Solid Snake is the man in gaming or how Dante fights better than Bayonetta, but most girls I dated so far just play for the fun of it. What your opinion?
