He always stares at me from across the classroom and anywhere else at school and when we make eye contact i always turn away because of how shy I am. I always tend to end up looking at him and a few days ago we smiled at each other and he's been acting weird since then, we're not good friends or anything but his friends have been looking at me and he seems to be avoiding making eye contact. I have a uber mega crush on him now since a few days ago and I don't know what to do, HELP!

Ok so there's this guy who's recently started working at my university. I'm a final year student and will graduate in 6 months, and he's about 7-10 years older than me. However i've started getting a lot of help from him with my final year project, where he's working 3-4 hrs each day helping me with it. He's technically a guest lecturer at the uni.

I've recently come to the realization that i find him attractive and find myself acting a bit giddy and shy around him. I recently asked to meet him for career advice and said i was looking forward to seeing him (like i send to other members of staff i know really well). He replies and says: "we should do it at the pub ;)" Then it just returns to normal conversation about my work.

Now i'm probably thinking way more into this because i find him attractive, but is this something you would do if you were just being cheeky? Or would this be only something you would do if you were flirting?

He's also added me on Facebook, and he's once messaged me at 11pm with help for my project. It all seems a bit weird to me, but i don't want to overthink it and see something that isn't there.

So here's the deal. My little group of friends (like 6 people) have a Christmas party every year. We all draw names and you have to buy a present for that person. We normally have a spemding limit of like $15 but since everyone went to college this year they decided to lower it (theyre still getting the money from their parents though?) Anyway, I usually spend over the limit anyway because I hate giving chinsy gifts and I actually have a job. So this year I got my friend who I used to have a massive crush on, and of course he knew about it. We have both gotten past that and now we're just really good best friends but sometimes I think he thinks I'm acting weird like I used to, and things get kinda awkward for a while. Anyway, we both share a love for vinyl and pop punk. A few months ago we were at a record store and he really wanted this MCR record but couldnt afford it. So that's what I got him for Christmas. Now here are my concerns... It cost way over the $10 limit and he's gonna know that. And I can't really remember if he really likes MCR all that much. He wanted the record so he's gotta like em right? I can't ask him because he's gonna be suspicous... I don't really ask "Do you like this" unless I'm buying him something. Also, is he gonna think its weird that I remembered that from July? I don't know... maybe I'm just a little paranoid given the history. I just dont want him to think things are weird again. So, dudes, what would you think. Should I get something else, because it's either that or these Batarang throwing knife things, which he would also like but I think would be a lesser gift.
