I find that in this day and age, people younger than me now (I am 21) are so desensitized to violence, sex, drugs, alcohol, and cussing. I see even in children's shows now that a lot has really let go on censors. And I'm so scared to become a mother one day to have my 12 year old walk through the door to hear them cussing, having sex, and saying that weapons, drugs, and alcohol are not a big deal... am I the only one that feels this way?

I am a 5'2 high school white girl but I love rap. I don't just listen bc I think it makes me cool and secretly hate it. I also don't say I love a rap song (especially like Jason Derulo and call it rap) and then bleep out the cuss words. Full on rap. I listen to anyone from Kendrick and Drake to A$ap Rocky. I have no problem cussing and blaring my music but I still consider myself a lady. I cuss with or without music, but I know when I shouldn't and can be respectful and a lady and when the time is right I can go back to the crazy party side of me. A lot of guys listen to rap but don't expect girls to especially me haha and there shocked when they find out. Is that a bad thing like trashy? Does it make me seem like a girl that can take it or one of the guys? Is it appealing to guys in a relationship/sexual way at all? Hot not or trashy?

It this a deal breaker type thing? I don't think it should be but you know some people. I've heard it's a turn off though, it's just weird and to some extent, I kind of agree. But I have the bad habit of saying man, but I usually only say it around guy friends or my girl friends. Not around any guy I'm interested it, kind of like how I won't cuss around a guy I like. But if I'm super comfortable with you I'll let a cuss word slip a time or two. Or "man" "bro" "dude" "brah" or "bruh". I lived in California for years so I picked up a lot of surfer talk and now that I'm here in the south I'm thinking a lot of men find this weird. So guys, is cussing and saying those "bro" terms a turn off or do you not mind? I know this is another one of those things that don't apply to the general male population, but I'm looking to see what the majority says.
