I started work a week ago at a new office. It’s an open-plan office, where we can all see each other. I’m basically sitting at a right angle to this girl.

Well, anyway, the first day, I introduced myself to everyone, went around the office exchanging names and shaking hands. I get along with everyone. Everyone talks to me, except this one girl.

When I introduced myself to her, she looked kinda nervous. She hasn’t initiated chat with me at all even if it’s a group conversation where other people are speaking to me. Anyway, I suspected she was just a shy girl, but actually she isn’t shy at all. She can speak to clients she’s never met before with total confidence. She’s chatty and friendly to everyone else in our team. She doesn’t have an unfriendly vibe towards me at all. She just doesn’t say anything.

Another weird thing I’ve noticed is that she’ll occasionally look at me briefly and then quickly turn away. I can see her do that out of the corner of my eye. And yesterday she said something like “Boyfriend, come here”, and started having a (slight) PDA with her boyfriend right in front of me while I was at my desk, which was a little awkward. Weirdly, she emphasized the word ‘Boyfriend’, and using the word ‘Boyfriend’ in that sentence seems weird to me anyway. While she was kissing and hugging him, she looked at me again.

If you’re wondering about my looks, some girls have called me ‘hot’, ‘handsome’ and ‘good-looking’. Other girls think I’m ‘average’ and ‘nothing special’. So, it’s difficult to tell, really.
