My boyfriend was texting this girl he just met in class. Now he’s never been the best at texting throughout our long relationship he’s gotten better. He also doesn’t usually text many people like having conversations. Well he told me about this girl in the first place and I didn’t think anything of it but then I got a weird vibe and I asked him if he could show me their messages and he did. There wasn’t anything that showed he was flirting or anything but like they were a bit too friendly for two people that just met. She would constantly say things to try to get him to compliment her about her height but he would just tease her a bit about it and that’s it. He said she would message him first a lot but what leaves me hanging is that he was like responsive to her and just more talkative than the normal. We see eachother most of the time so when we text is to pass time and just talk until we see eachother. I haven’t really seen his conversation with his female friends that he knows from before but he wasn’t really texting her around me either. I asked him if he could stop talking to her and he agreed he said he didn’t think her intentions were to flirt with him thag he just thought she was nice and that he was making a friend. He would never hang out with her or anything either he said that’s why he also didn’t think she was trying to hit on him but I could tell through the messages she would bring up how she was short and she would mention her “tiny thighs” and how she would have to put her book between them because the desks in class were too small which to he just responded “your teeny tiny self” but he never complimented her or anything from what I saw.

Someone who's arrogant, who holds an air of attitude, gives off an "I'm better than you"- vibe, or someone who's insecure, lacks confidence, and needs to be constantly reassured?
I know neither of these characteristics are particularly desirable, but if you absolutely had to choose between one of them, which would you pick? These are obviously extremes and flaws at best but I'm just curious to see which is the lesser of two evils in terms of tolerance in a relationship.
