Search Results: saying goodbye to someone

So this guy and I have been talking for about 3 weeks now and I really like him. He always joked around that he would make me "lift and play video games and watch south park" like we were going to end up dating. On Tuesday, we hung out at the gym and we talked and laughed and whatnot and he hugged me goodbye. I told him I would "text him that night... maybe" as a joke right before I left and he told me that I was texting first. And he ended up texting me first that night saying "you text first" when I didn't text him right away.

The next day we were snapchatting, but we only snapchatted for like 20 minutes and then he didn't answer me. So I texted him that night saying "Hi" at like 8:30 and he read the message an hour later but never answered me. So I texted him "Hi" again the next night and he answered saying he's just been busy because he's been preparing for a bodybuilding competition on Saturday (yesterday, and yes. He is a bodybuilder), but he had enough time to go on instagram and Facebook and post 2 pictures of him and follow some people. Anyways, we texted for like 20 minutes and then he read the message but didn't answer. So yesterday after the competition, he sent a snapchat and I answered him and we snapchatted for a couple hours and then he asked if I wanted to hangout with him. I asked him where we would hangout at 9:30. He responded by saying "I'm driving around to celebrate:(". And then he didn't answer after I responded. And he hasn't answered me all day. I don't want to come off as annoying if he doesn't want to talk to me. I've just had so many thoughts like maybe he doesn't want to annoy me? Or maybe he's waiting for me to text first? Or maybe he's found someone else? What does this all mean? I'm so confused and don't know what to think about all of this. I just want to know without being annoying.

I have been talking to this guy on FB for 3 weeks, and we met yesterday. We took a long walk by the river, than had coffee and talked further. It was the longest time I've ever spent upon meeting a guy for the first time. 5 hours.

Here are the things that made me think it was just friendly:

- no physical touches or flirty touches. We didn't even shake hands upon meeting and saying goodbye. Granted, I didn't initiate anything, I figured I'd let him initiate, and he didn't.

- when paying for our drinks, he left the decision to me, and I decided to go dutch.

Things that made me think it was a date:

- he kept on mentioning how he usually doesn't do this kind of thing, and that he found it incredible that we've been talking a lot EVERY DAY for 3 weeks.

- his compliments on my talents and personality. You wouldn't keep complimenting someone of the opposite sex if you don't want to start something with them, do you?

- he mentioned something about how it's about time to get settled down...

- he made it a point to say that even though he's a photographer who works with models, he always tries to find everyday-looking women as models and doesn't find anorexic skeletonized models beautiful (I'm a little bigger myself)

For the record, he's 43 while I'm 26. So maybe that changes things. Maybe guys in their 40s don't date the way guys in their 20s do. I don't have any experience with guys this age. I normally don't go for this age range...

So guys and girls, what do you say? Was last night a date?

I just want to know what he wants from me, and act accordingly.
