I often laugh when my mom gets mad, but not because I think it's funny; it's more of a nervous-type laughter. My mom gets mad at me for laughing.

Once my sister started crying, and I had to try (and fail) to hold back laughter, but again not because I thought it was funny; it was a nervous laughter. I felt bad about it.

Once in one of my classes, my professor was talking about how selfies can be addictive, and I mentioned the story of a teen boy who killed himself because he couldn't take the right selfie. I successfully managed to hold back my nervous laughter, but my professor laughed & then he was like "sorry I laughed, it's uncomfortable." And I was like "yeah I understand. It's nervous laughter, I had to hold it back too."

I was laughing when talking about my mental illness with my family & family-friend the other day, & my sister was like "WTF, when I talk about my mental illness, I don't laugh about it." And I said it was a nervous-laughter. & My family-friend said that he does the same thing; he laughed when he heard my sister attempted suicide, and it was just a nervous laughter.
