this is that scenario.


suppose you're in a flight. there's a couple, two or four seats away from your seat, they seem to be a couple. in the beginning, the girl seems to enjoying herself, the guy seems to hold her hand with a warm smile, she's giggly at his attempts to flirt with her. then there's a turbulence, they stay calm just as the others, except a few passengers, tensed in their seats. now, now, the couple. they start upon some discussion. with every word, her face becomes visibly paler. the guy now looks smug and sardonic and distant. they carry on. the turbulence has gotten just over. the guy presses her face into the wall, horror stricken her face she's becoming breathless. just when she passes out, the guy and you make eye contact. what do you do?

She visited her old home several months ago to make amends and received the same hatred as in 2010. At the time (she was a then 10 year-old), a couple folks there and a former dog owner labeled her many things; a freak of nature, the devil in a child's body, that thing, Satan's daughter, etc.

She relocated elsewhere (further) and will never return to her old neighborhood. She did terrible (the worst she did was cause grievous bodily harm with torture on 2 younger kids with her friend and it's believed a bit of sexual element got included; before that it was killing people's pets, including the guy's dogs) things back then but is it fair to get hated for that long? Should a child ever be hated that long?

I feel sad for her. I believe no child is ever born twisted. The environment plays a role and what happened to my cousin in her upbringing was like a horror movie. Yet, it's disappointing how some adults want to forever hate and punish a child. Their brains aren't fully developed like an adult is.
