I asked this guy out., we dated a year ago. I ended it a few weeks in because I was used to being alone and I was not ready to get close to anyone.

I was embarrassed for 'not being ready' and never explained myself. When he confronted me, I told him i thought he was not interested. He asked why i didn't try talking to him. I said i didn't see the point.

That was not true i was just too uncomfortable having a talk about something i couldn't do while i also had feelings for him. It was too much.

He's recently re friended me, and I'm a bit older and wiser now and i do feel terribly for how i acted. Id like to explain and apologize. And while i'm not ready to jump into a relationship id be happy if we could start slow and get to know each other. see how it goes.

Im not sure if i asked him out bc i wanted to go on a date or bc i wanted to apologize. But since he already got mad I don't know if that means i shouldn't even try talking to him, What do you think?

What do you think. What would you want me to do?

Also i'm not sure why he tried being friends with me if he's still angry and didn't even tell me. I was surprised by his outburst because he's been very nice for months.
