Search Results: too close or too distant

Okay, there's this boy who's one of my closest friends (we've been good friends for about 5 years) we've had sleepovers, gone out places together and with my other friends, we always have really good conversation and he's really sweet too me. I think I'm developing feelings for him but I've never experienced this feeling towards someone before. I'm always taking extra time on my appearance, being more choosy with my outfits whenever I see him and when we have sleepovers now I'm always really nervous (for the past 4 months I've been declining to go too his house because I don't know what too say to him). He's been asking me why I've been so distant and I've just been saying I've been busy.
I don't want to develop my feelings any further because it's fun just being really good friends and honestly I'm not ready for a boyfriend. He's also been getting really angry when other guys have been talking to me and he tells me to only talk to the people in our friendship group (which I totally don't agree with).
Am I just crushing or do you think it's probably just a phase?

Many times I would look up and he would smile at me. ☺️He was very shy, but anytime I needed something he would get it for me. 😍 he was always near by, and it made me get butterflies. 💕 when I talked to other guys he would either listen closely or stare at me. I didn't let him know how much I felt for him (I'm shy too) but I did initiate convos sometimes. He would sit next to me in class sometimes, laugh at my jokes, walk beside me, and one time he didn't leave until I did. The last day of school he was distant, and I caught him staring into my eyes without smiling. I didn't say bye to him but I should have. I might see him again. What should I do when I see him? And why did he get distant?
