Not being white, I encounter this issue every single day. The fact that it is an insult to be called white. If a black person calls another "white washed," it's insulting. When people say " you act like a white guy/girl" it is taken as an insult. Even white people hate to be refered to as such, claiming multiple ethnicities like Dutch, European, Irish, etc to not have to claim being a full blooded caucasian white. Years ago, it was a disgrace to be black,hispanic,asian, now the tables are turning? Why is this so insulting?

I'm interested to know what you all have to say about this topic. Please read the ENTIRE question before answering the poll and leaving a comment. Here is my personal example: I'm very smart, I listen to all genres of music, I like to read and write, sarcastic/witty sense of humor with a lot of political and pop cult. references. But I dress USUALLY very dainty I like ruffles, pink, dresses etc. I'm attracted to all 'types' of guys (geeks, bad boys, jocks, black, white, Hispanic, musicians, and so on...) and all my exes don't really have one thing in common at all. I was just wondering if this is usually how it goes and if there is too much of an emphasis on 'type' dating.

Hi everyone,

I was having a conversation with guy friends about how I don't get approached as much at bars. They said it was because I'm Asian and that most Asian girls aren't as likely to go home with someone (or at least with white/Hispanic guys).

I was wondering if this is true? I know for sure that some of my other Asian female friends will reject anyone who isn't Asian or white.

So if this is true...

Men... what ethnicity are you -most- likely to not approach at a bar.

Women... what ethnicity are you -most- likely to reject at a bar.

P.S. I'm grouping white and Hispanic together because I don't get more than 5 options and most of my friends are either one... and the U.S. census reads white Latino anyway.

P.P.S. I'm trying to keep this as on a purely stereotypical without any offensive comments or something. Lets try to be adults and treat this as objectively as we treat preference in hair color or submissive/dominant personality types. Thanks!
