there's a girl at college and we have definite chemistry/flirting. I asked her out to the movies and she said yes. A day before the date she said she wasn't really into movies and then on the morning of the date she tells me her mum needs her home early that night and then she said we should reschedule and would make it up to me. 2 weeks later she hasn't tried to reschedule. I think it may be because she is shy and has implied to me she's insecure. However, somedays she's nice and all flirty telling people she likes me and other days doesn't show direct interest to me.

I've asked our mutual friends what she has told them, they said she likes me. They said its also obvious she likes you, you two flirt all the time and are glued together at college. She initiates convo over text 50% of the time and hangs around me at college a lot. Recently, she has opened up to me about her private life and how are parents have mistreated her, past abusive relationships and how she feels ugly and almost implies she's insecure.

I then asked her about what is happening between us? I said I liked her, thought she was pretty and are we friends or not? I said do you like me? She said isn't it obvious and the feeling is mutual, then said she has a hard time expressing her feelings. I asked her out again and she said yes. Should I still take her out? I feel I made myself look desperate and by asking her out twice is she really that interested? Thanks.

I'm totally confused about this girls interest in me and dont feel like summing up our past on what happened. Here's our convo last night and i'd like opinions on whether she's interested or not based off THIS convo

Just want to point out she's an alcoholic and i'm helping her out with it. She knows i am interested but wants to "stay single for now" untill she feels she's stable for a relationship. No, this isint a BS excuse. Her daily life is TOTALLY consumed by her addiciton AND caused her to gain weight,

Me: You know, you're a totally different person when sober and thats the one I wanna date :p
Her: Why?
Her: *Sends a selfie with some cleavage* my boobies are too big too (shes talking about how the alcohol caused her to gain weight)
Me: Why do I wanna date the sober you? Haha thats an obvious question. And don't tease me :p
Her: It's cause im too fat (shes implying when she gets sober, she'll lose the weight)
Me: You're not fat! You're fine. You know I like you for you! You dont realize this but when you're sober you're a completely different person, you're more calm and caring
Her: I can be mean when sober too
Me: Haha well so can everybody, you should come over to my house one day :)
Her: Maybe (she gives this answer a lot when i try to get her to hang out. she tells me she's extremely shy and thats why she barely hangs, and cause she doesn't want to develop feelings when she's just trying to get better)
Me: Stop being so shy and lets hang already
(2 hours later)
Me: Are you ok? what are you up to?
