Search Results: bothers me that my friends are dating

My boyfriend's screensaver is of his best friend, who is a girl. He's know her for like 8 years, and he's known me for 4 months. I will mention, however, the WHOLE time we have been dating, she's been on his screensaver and he thinks this is normal. I think this is weird, and makes me very uncomfortable. By boyfriend is dating me... I do not understand why he would want to look/be reminded of another girl like that whenever he unlocks his phone. Its not like we don't have cute pics together he could use. He says they are just so close.. but I don't know my gut is telling me otherwise. I'm sure he'd change it if I brought it up, but only because it bothered me, not because he sees an issue with the whole thing- which worries me more. Any thoughts?

I just absolutely give up looking for a partner. I’ve tried almost every dating app. And am always single. Everyone I’ve known has been able to easily find a partner whether it be through an app or meeting people in person.

I have had “friends” previously that I’d go out with and guys didn’t give me the time of day. I’ve lost a significant amount of weight and regardless of how I look, people don’t notice me. I only get attention from guys that I wouldn’t date and that’s rarely. So that does not count.

Everyone i I know is able to find love without trying and I don’t understand why or how I’m always alone. It’s extremely unfair and I don’t know what else to do. I’m in my mid twenties and even though I’m shy, dating should not be this hard for a young woman. While I do have low self esteem, people have told me throughout my life that I’m attractive and this doesn’t only include family/ “close friends”.

Paid nor free apps work for me. I don’t have friends in real life so I rely on these apps. And people I’ve met are able to find someone without much effort. While here I am alone. I am that woman that is always alone. No friends or partner in my life. I’ve considered losing more weight and wonder if that’ll change the lack of attention I’ve received. What bothers me is someone I used to see for a few months was able to move on to a new girlfriend shortly after I stopped talking to him. I’m not into him anymore, it just bugs me how he is able to move on and find someone likes him while I’m always single. And people told me that I’m more attractive than him/ could do better.

Am i I the unluckiest person ever or is this the way dating usually is for most women? Because I don’t think it is.

So I’m American and was dating this irish guy for a 7 months. I honestly thought I had found the one but we had a fair share of problems most being his family and friends didn’t like me. Me and my family are quite introverted and don’t drink. His family and friends are very extroverted and socialize mostly around alcohol which bothers me. I think his friends thought I was stuck up which I’m not. Had the feeling also they didn’t want him to move back to America which he had lived there before we had even met.

He broke up with me saying we don’t fit right in each other’s lives. But can’t help but think his family and friends are to blame. This all happened 10 months ago and he is already in a relationship with a girl from his city. From a mutual friend he is no longer moving to the states because of this girl and our friend also hinted that my ex wants to propose to this girl which has left me devastated.

I was hoping to reconcile after he moved here and was away from his family and friends. I really want to text him and ask if it was all a mistake that I love him. I genuinely feel crushed and don’t know wha to do.

I have two questions do you think people will stick to people of similar cultures and should I contact him?
