Hi. Ever since I've started college, I've been lonely. Due to the lockdowns, I've had no chance to socialise or go out and make friends. Just me on a laptop with online classes. I have a boyfriend and he's great and I feel very fortunate to have met him. I like him but sometimes when I hang out with him and his friends I just feel like I dont fit in. Just feel out of place so I started trying to connect with people online. I downloaded apps to make friends but unfortunately I found it impossible to talk to other women on it due to the men to female ratio and felt like most of them weren't interested in talking to me. I started to talking to this guy who has no interested in me only platonic and I met him once in a public area. My boyfriend thought it was extremely weird even though I asked him was he okay with me meeting other guys and he said yes the day before. But now it seems his only okay when it's me hanging out with his friends. Like he gets to live with his best mates and has almost completed college yet I can only hang out with him and his friends (which I dont fit in with it). Am I in the wrong for wanting social interaction with someone I have one or two things in common with?

I met someone through tinder a few months ago, we never met in person until Jan. We only met in person in order to buy something from him. I was paranoid because of COVID so it was only to buy it and head home. Prior to that, he would reply to my stories on social media and compliment me here and there. He still replies to my stories but he doesn’t ask questions like before, just strictly commenting on whatever I post. I think it’s just platonic, considering he isn’t flirty or persistent etc
