So I was at a theme park this weekend and there were a couple of cute girls in line in front of me to get on a ride. I happened to sit right by them on the ride. When the ride started and everyone was screaming I put my hands up as I always do and the girl next to me put her hands up too. Now I make a conscience effort to not invade anyone's personal space and not once have I ever bumped hands or arms with anyone while on any theme park ride. But this girl was repeatedly touching my arm with hers it almost felt like she wanted to hold my hand.Our arms were criss-crossing several times throughout the ride. Now I'm not a very confident guy so I didn't think much of it I definitely didn't think she was hitting on me but when I told my friend he told me she was probably trying to hit on me. She is long gone of course and I'm never going to see her again but it got me thinking that maybe I'm not as unattractive as I thought. If a girl as cute as her found me attractive I might have a better selection of girls than I thought.

Girls, another question I want to ask is, if you were in this situation where you sat next to an unattractive person wouldn't you make an effort to not bump into or touch that person? Or if you found a guy attractive would you do what she did and try to innocently touch him too?

Or am I reading too much into this and she was probably a girl who just loves to wave her arms all around and doesn't care who she touches? Thank for the replies.

I got out of a long term relationship almost six months ago and I am now ready to get back into the dating world. Unfortunately I am “rusty” when it comes to reading signals of interest from women. I’ve read a few articles on the internet but some contradict the others. So, I’m not really sure.

Okay. Here it goes. It’s long, but I’ll try to keep this short. I met this woman a couple of months ago. She is about 11 years younger than I am. She’s in her mid 20’s and I’m in my mid 30’s. We always seem to have a good positive and light hearted conversation when I talk to her. She smiles at me most of the time before I say hi to her. On the days that she hasn’t smiled at me first, I later find out that she is having a bad day. However, after a few moments of conversation and her telling me what is bothering her she is back to her happy self again. She knows that I am single and she has told me that she is single. I’ve recently noticed that she has started to wear perfume in the past couple of weeks where I hadn’t noticed her wearing it before. I’ve complimented her on the nice scent. She smiles and thanks me for the compliment and tells me the name of the perfume. Some days she wears a different scent. She once told me about a couple of guys who asked her out that she had recently turned down because they weren’t her type. I told her that at least they had good taste. She smiled and thanked me for the compliment. I once accidentally over heard the last part of her phone conversation where she said “I love you” to the other person on the phone. When she hung up the phone, she immediately told me that she was talking to her mom. I hadn’t even had a chance to ask. She never talks about other guys around me other than the ones that she doesn’t like. I planned a trip and was going to be away for a couple of weeks. When I told her that I was going to be away she seemed quite and distant. She later gave me a hug and told me that she would see me when I get back in a couple of weeks.

I tried to exchange phone numbers with her so I could call her while I was away. She accepted mine but didn’t want to give me hers. I thought that seemed odd.

She definitely confused me. I thought that she flirting and showing signs of interest? What about the age difference?
