My coworker was fired on Wednesday after our lunch shift. She has been here since end of December and sticked around in January when there was a mass quit, and she was the only server and there was only one cook and temporary manager for like 2 months. I work at a retirement center. This place is now just starting to get back up on its feet. There was just a permanent manager hired on Thursday, a permanent floor manager hired about a month ago and 4 full time servers, 2 part time ,4 cooks, and 2 dishwashers. My coworker is constantly late. Every. single. day. Like 10-15 minutes late. They have been harping on her about being late since January. She also calls off a lot but works like 9-10 sometimes 11 days in a row. She’s even worked on her days off because we were short staffed. I’ll admit she can be quite mouthy and bitchy and gives death stares/dirty looks a lot and bitches about how tired she is, but she works hard. She has had problems with other coworkers that was taken to HR. HR doesn’t seem to really like her and even told her mom one more mess up and she’s gone. They were looking for a reason to fire her. It came out of nowhere. Our shift is 11a-7pm. This was around 3 after our lunch shift and break, we were doing side work and HR lady asks to talk to her and asks me to watch the cafe. Coworker storms out and mouths I just got fired and I’m in shock. Manager follows shortly after with her key to the building back to HR. I go to the kitchen to talk to her and she’s already clocked out and left. Everyone was so confused, even her boyfriend who came in later that shift. Her boyfriend said he was gonna quit. Another coworker said she’s gonna quit because she shouldn’t have gotten fired and a few coworkers are glad they don’t have to deal with her drama and smartmouth anymore. Her number is still hanging in my bosses office and I wanna reach out and text her but is that weird?

My boyfriends ex girlfriend has been giving him and I some problems the past month. April 6th, she busted into his house at 2am demanding I leave because her mom was kicking her out and she needed a place to stay. Her and my boyfriend have a history of 4 years. They lived in this house together, and it was in her name. The lease on the house has been expired since 2017. Him and his roommate have been paying month to month without a lease so the place is not in her name anymore. She decided to vacate the property back in July 2018, and says she has proof that she moved out. She left a lot of stuff here since July 2018. She abandoned her property. She’s been over at the house (before we met in January this year) and still has not gotten her stuff. She really did me dirty in the beginning of April, so when I came back after to live with him after he told her no she couldn’t stay here, I threw all her stuff away. Clothes she hasn’t worn since July 2018, items that HE bought her (because she never had a job and leeched off him) and also her cheerleading trophies. She’s pissed and she has been harassing him and i since the other day. I’ve already contacted police and made a report and they told her to stop, if not, further actions will happen. Now she wants to take me to civil court. Because she doesn’t live here anymore, it’s been almost a year since she moved out and she has yet to get anything, and I threw her stuff away (because the house needed to be cleaned and her stuff was just all in the way) how do you think this would play out if this goes to court? Usually she’s all talk. But we’ll see.
