I finally met a guy after a year and ill just highlight what happened on the date:
-We made out 3-4x
- We hugged tightly
- it was awkward at the beginning/quiet
-he paid
-he played with his phone/my keys
-he would stare at me when i wasn't
- he kept touching my shoulder and leaned in a bit sometimes
-he played with my hair/massaged it
-he asked me how i thought and i told him and then he said so far so good
-we made out quickly/ pecked kiss goodbye
-he jokingly said it was the best date

A little back story: We've been talking on and off for a year and every time he asked to hang out I would say no and he still gave me a chance. He had his phone out because he had to do something at a certain time and he was on call for work.

I've heard this in music before so it just made me wonder.

Okay, so I met this guy on my flight to New Zealand and we were both solo backpacking. We talked most of the flight and he hugged me goodbye and got my number when we got off. We decided to meet up since we were in the same place and ended up hiking up to a beautiful lookout point (and surprised with a double rainbow 🌈) and set up a hammock in the trees to watch the sunset and stargaze. We started just sitting next to each other but It was freezing so he said “okay for warmth purposes I gotta put my arm around you” so he did. So now we’re full on cuddling and he says “I know a for sure way to warm up” and he kissed me with the face cupping hair grabbing all that. Then again later, and we stayed like that for about 3 hours then I kissed him and we called it a night and headed back. We had to take a ferry back to the city and I was exhausted so I put my head on his shoulder and he put his arm around me and I slept like that the whole way back. Then he walked me back to my place and we said goodbye because we were going our separate ways in the morning. I really liked him so I snap chatted him the next night not having spoken to him at all the next day saying how cold it was (hinting that I wished he was here) and he left me on read and has been posting to his story. What’s going on? I thought it was pretty clear he really liked me but now he is ignoring me. Did I get the wrong message? Or was he only interested in me physically?
