From my question which addresses a recent article in which women complains they just aren't enough single guys for them.

In the above article, many women do not want to date guys who did not have a college degree basically writing them off as potential mates. With more girl's graduating college than men, many women now have a shortage of guys who they would actually choose to go out with. It may seem now that if men aren't the total package women just don't want them. i. e. Tall, RICH, Handsome and well educated.

This leads me to my question: Do women these days who complain about being single, or guys not approaching them just voluntarily place themselves in that situation because they don't acknowledge the advances of men who aren't up to their standards.


It seems modern day women would rather place themselves in a state of victimhood than try to change themselves and lower their ridiculous standards for men.

My girlfriend broke up with me and I hate where I live. The cost of living is so expensive here in orange county, CA that it's impossible for me to move out of my parents house. I'm 22 so I'm still relatively young.. maybe not to live at home with my parents but still young. After my girlfriend left me I deicded to go back to college. I'm a year into my accounting degree at community college. I honestly hate it here though. I have a couple of friends I'll leave behind for a little but it will only be for three years.

My family is always fighting and I have no way out it's depressing. Wanted to go to college out there but I have another year. So I was thinking I could go to a JC thats 10 minutes away from the University that I plan to go to. It's beautiful and the people there are much less snobby here Orange County I'm assuming. Love cold weather.. Hate hate weather. Would you do it?

I'm worried about going there and being lonely but I think I can make friends. Over there I'll have my own apartment. Going to take my dog up there with me. Going to find a job. Going to dominate my acadamia.

It's beautiful. by the way I do plan to move back to LA/OC area after graduation unless I go to grad school. I'm an accounting major and most firms are in LA/OC.
