My work friend always complains about her husband that he’s selfish and inconsiderate. He goes most places by himself. I’ve met him a few times and always uses the word I. Especially when talking about the future. She’s showed me some pictures of them and everyone he doesn’t really smile or doesn’t reciprocate her affection. For example she goes to hold his hand and he does nothing. I’ve seen selfies of him and he always has a big smile on his face. She seems ok with it which is non of my business. I’m not close enough to ask her if he’s ever been married before. He was 44 when they got married. If a guy has been single, is he too set in his ways to change?

My friends husband always says I want to travel when I retire instead of we. He also says I went to this restaurant or movie even though he was with his wife. I don’t want to tell my friend and cause problems in their relationship. It just seems odd because most guys in a committed relationship say we without thinking about it. He also never wears his wedding ring and never mentions he is married to single women. He sounds selfish and immature to me. Though there’s two sides to every story and I don’t know what happens behind closed doors.
