I'm not talking about legalities here, such as avoiding jail bait. I mean for guys, does it matter if the girl is younger or older?

Girls, how about the age difference for you? Is there a limit to how old or young he can be?

The reason I ask is I never use to care until I met this older guy, which I admit I liked. He was probably in his early thirties, (I'm only twenty) and I found it a bit of a turn off that he was that much older. I mean, I'd missed the prime of his life and I felt as I wouldn't be getting him physically at his best. Anyway, that's patially why I didn't take it further.

Often when a question about whether age is or can be a barrier to embark into a relationship i.e. mature woman/younger man and vice versa, majority of answers will say 'age is only a number'. But in reality, many will raise eyebrow when they see couples in that category. Some will brand the woman as a cougar, a cradle snatcher but man on the hand will be spared from being called any names, at least I haven't heard names calling when an older man with younger woman in a relationship. So the question is, does age really matter in a relationship? And if yes, why do you say it matter?
