This is something I've always heard and I just read a conversation about this on gag. The user of course had me blocked because she can't handle arguing with me. I'm too much for her.

"Truly confident people are x, y, and z." - this statement is absolutely ridiculous considering some of the most successful people in history were the ones that were considered arrogant by other. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Muhhamad Ali, Mike Tyson.. All the legends... They we're all cocky as fuck in their prime. Steve Jobs was an innovative genius and could be the nastiest and meanest dude at times. He didn't care if he was perceived as asshole. Read the book "Becoming Steve Jobs" Almost all your media stars put on an image to keep contracts and their sponsors happy.

Arrogant means "having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities." That's up to the interpretation of whoever is judging. You know yourself better than anyone judging.

People acquire that over bearing confidence through success. If you think someone is arrogant, then there is probably a reason as to why. Mediocre people stay humble because it's easy to stay humble for them. There's nothing to boast about. They haven't tasted success like that other guy has.

All of those people I mentioned didn't mold to what others interpretation of what confidence "truly looks like". If you've ever said that, you're mediocre. You Confidence comes in all different shapes and sizes.

I'm good looking, I'm intelligent, and I'm successful. I don't care who thinks I'm wrong because I know where I stand and I'll be damned if I'm going to mold to what others consider the correct format of confidence. If you have success in your life, then don't fucking hide it because of judgement. Showcase whenever you want to. Little dogs don't fucking bark at parked cars, they bark at loud ass cars that are in drive and in motion. Think about that for a second.
