Search Results: too much teasing

So, we're both seniors in high school. I'm 17, and he's 18.

I never was interested in him until about less than a month ago, when I went to go take pics of him for Yearbook. I did, and he was indecisive about which one he liked. I told him, "It doesn't matter. I think you look good in all of them." For a brief moment, he just looked into my eyes, perhaps somewhat caught off guard by my comment. I didn't mean it flirtatiously, but ever since then we've become better friends. Now it's to the point that we're constantly teasing/being playful towards each other.

We began to text over Instagram and Snapchat within the past week too. We hit it off well, and it all started with me complimenting him on his writing skill. Throughout the messages, he called me "really sweet" several times and told me that he's sure my writing is "much lovelier!" Then, our messages became more scarce. I know he's really busy with school too, so I was understanding bc he even apologized to me about it.

Now, he isn't even liking my posts anymore. He's posted on Insta, but won't open my message from 2 days ago. He's responded to me a couple times on Snap, but I don't know. It's not like we don't have anything to talk about or that we're awkward around each other in person at all. He won't even look at my Story either, but he'll Snap me individually to answer me a few times.

Like I said, we are always playful and stuff in person, but I think he's trying to play hard-to-get over text and social media. What do you think?

So, this guy (Caleb) and I have been chatting on Snap and Insta for the past couple days on and off. We have classes together, and lately we've somehow opened up more to each other and become very playful/teasing to one another. For instance, Caleb will purposefully hit my leg with his bag and smirk at me and say "oh sorry" in a teasing tone and I'll laugh and roll my eyes at him. It's just little stuff like that.

Additionally, I've complimented him on his writing and how he's a cool person in these messages, and he's called me "really sweet" at least three or four times. He found out that I write too, and said that he's sure my writing is "much lovelier!"

Anyway, my question pertains to this: Caleb found out that a different guy friend of mine called me "sexy af" without my glasses, and this same guy turned around and told me I looked ugly with them on. Caleb was like "omg who said that?" And I told him the guys name, and etc. Caleb replied with, "He's so stupid I promise."

We both have low self confidence and it seems we try to build each other up. Like I called myself a doormat for just being awkward and not assertive enough, and Caleb responded, "You are not a doormat!!"

Those responses... coupled with the behavior... do you think Caleb likes me?

I'm a 17F, and he's 18M. We're both in high school, and have several classes together.

We do playfully banter with each other/act childish. For instance, he has held out his hand for me to give him some of my stuff to set on his desk and keep away from me just to tease me. Or when we were looking at photos I took of him, I told him that he looked good in all of them, and for a moment he just looked at me. I think it may have come across as flirtatious, but I don't know. My heart stopped in that moment as I realized he was just looking into my eyes after I said that. I didn't know what to do, and I tried to ask about the photos again to break the silence...

He writes stories and poems often, and posts them on spam account on Instagram. I DM'ed him and complimented him on his writing style. He sent me hearts, saying "Infinite hearts right now. You're really really sweet. It's stuff like that that keeps me going. I love having impact. Thank you so so so so much!"

I replied with "No, I'm just laying out the truth fr. 😂" We continued the conversation about his work, and I mentioned that I used to write stories too.

So, he responded, "Really? I'd love to read it! I'm sure your writing is much lovelier!"

The conversation continued for a little bit longer before it got late and we fell asleep. But, what do you think? Is he just being nice? I'm worried I'm looking too much into things, and that he's just being friendly bc that's happened to me before. But, I think I'm growing to like this guy... help me please.

So, I kinda like this guy and I think he likes me back. We both work weekends at our church. We met through a mutual friend of ours and ever since we met, he's been going out of his way to say hi. He seems to constantly be looking for me. Now, he's beginning to tease me a little.

The trouble is, I am 19, while he's 23. Is that going to be too much of a problem?
