I often see people duck out of being honest because they want to be 'nice' but all they are doing is prolonging confusion and wasting time-i think bc its easier for them to not face up and not bc its helpful for the other person to be left in confusion.

A friend of mine was asked out by this girl. he never said no he gave a plausible excuses- i she took it at face value as a bad time not disinterest. A few weeks later, she asks again-again he does the same thing. A month later she asks again -i m pretty sure at this point just to make sure. She does not seem unintelligent so i think she sees what he's doing. So once again he lies. He said he had to go late for class. She was surprisingly calm friendly about it. And told him gently _she thinks he is not interested and worried if he says no that makes him a jerk. But it does not. it makes him a person who appreciates her effort and respects her enough to be honest_

I thought that was awesome--and i AGREE. She was very graceful about it but he really irritated me.
I asked him WHY he wasted all that time. He said he thought she'd get the idea quietly and no one would have to be hurt. I said yeah she could have gotten the idea months ago if he had said NO in the first place, and she'd just save herself time. I dont understand how its supposed to be less of a disappointment by not taking the person seriously. They dont get you either way, but at least they have your dignity.

Anyhow i think he is starting to like her now. I dont blame him im not bi , but even i like her.. He just asked me 'hypothetically' if i think a person would reject him if he asked her out after all that. not 'her' just a person. yeah right. lol Good luck him -- After that i doubt shed give it a go.

So was about to go on a date with this guy he seemed really nice and polite. But he decided to follow me on instagram and obviously I had a little look at his page. I noticed the amount of girls on instagram that he follows of a certain type and it just turned me off straight away.

I wasn't really that bothered to date anyone after bad experiences with a ex but this guy seemed genuine.

I texted the the guy saying that I didn't think it was a good idea and I don't think I'm the type of person for him. He kept texting why I changed my mind so quickly and I basically told him I was turned off by his social media and that I'm very clearly not his type.

He got really defensive and said that I didn't know him etc so I just left it cause I didn't want to fight. I do feel bad cause I didn't want to upset him but I can't be bothered wasting my time on a f*ckboy.

Would you have gone on the date or would you have been put off?

for instance if only one if you is ready to date. what should the other do.

I've liked this guy a long time , we are very attracted but i can't tell if he's interested in dating. he was interested but i was not ready for anyone not just him. and we stayed friends, he sort of casually dated but broke up and always came back to me as a special person. i have never dated hed be the first and only person i liked.

he does not talk to other girls, and if one comes up to him he will look only at me, he shares things with me, stares all the time, smiles real big when he sees me -esp when he does not know im looking, tells me when he's free , gives me gifts he makes, competes for attention over other guys im not even into- even my gay friends, asks for advice... BUT when i ask him if he wants to hang out he gets fidgety and avoids answering.

i can't go on this way. i like him so much and i realize I've missed out on many people just thinking of him. i feel idiotic if he isn't actually interested. its not even im in a rush for action i just want to know IF there's a possibility. i think i will just ask if he's interested in dating. if he says no -i move o. is that too harsh? i just dk if i can be friends and not want him.

i avoided asking him on an actual date bc i thought itd ruin our friendship. but i think im wasting time... like we could date without dating. just hang out and let liking each other be enough. but, why can't we be friends and date. of we like each other, dating should not ruin that. if it does we prob just had lust or crush--right?
