For the purpose of this survey, abuse is defined as physically beating and or physically injuring your significant other with the intent to subdue or cause harm.

Examples include hitting, punching, kicking, stabbing, attack with a deadly weapon, etc.

Sexual, verbal, emotional, and mental violence in not included in this particular survey.

Additionally, this is strictly questioning romantic relationships. Abuse experienced between parent/child or friend/friend are not to be counted for this particular survey.
