Hey! Okay I like this guy, right? And he makes it seem as if he likes me back sometimes like staring/glancing at me A LOT, but then he'll do something to make it seem like he doesn't or I'll be TOLD he doesn't. Anyway, I feel like one of his friends MIGHT like me? I was talking to one of my friends in a grade below us and I told her that this friend of my crush is hot and then she went and told him and then the next day (today) he went and told my crush and one of the girls in their class that I think he's hot. The girl yelled out my name and she was like "Yeah *my name*!!!" And then she went on and said "*Crush's friend's name* you're so hot!" And then when I walked in to their classroom (it was just the boys in his year) he looked at me and then he was like "OHHHHH!" Unless that was one of the other guys and then said something to my crush and then a bit after that, my crush was pointing at his friend and looking at me? Then when my friend and I were about to walk out after my friend talked, he was like "THANKS *my name*!!" But I didn't even say anything? This same friend has also called me babe, honey and darling and he says hi and bye to me.

I'm 16 years old and have never had a boyfriend (or anything similar) before. I've never had any attraction towards anyone before a couple months ago. He is pretty good friends with two of my best friends, and they both say he's really nice and whatnot.
What I don't understand is he stares at me a lot. If I'm near him talking to someone, he watches me the whole conversation/time he's around. I'll look over in band class, and he will turn around occasionally when he's talking to his friends and look at me. Last weekend at a band function, every time I would look over at him, he'd be looking at me and smile really shyly (hasn't done it since). We don't really talk all that often, and when we do, he laughs a lot at everything I say (?). If I try and start a conversation, he seems kind of uncomfortable, but if he starts it, he seems? proud? to talk to me.
I'm not attractive (being honest), so is he just staring at me because he wants to throw up or something like? I don't have any idea what I'm experiencing. ? Help Please?

Today I was on the court kicking some soccer balls with my friends and three other guys were with us (two of them are my crushes friends and they know I like him) and he was sitting outside the court near us in the shade with about 3 other guys (2 of them are in my class) and 2 other girls (they aren't in his class, but they're his sister's friends). The two boys in my class called me over to sit and I said no and then they asked me again and I said no and one of them were like "You're not gonna get anywhere if you don't come and sit" then they called one of my friends over and she went but she made me go with her. I went and sat down and they were trying to get me to sit next to my crush but I didn't, I sat next to his friend. When I sat down, his friend got up and then one of the guys asked me if I ever dream about my crush and I said no and my crush was sitting there. The whole time he was just sitting there silently, not saying a word, and then he got up and left with his friend cause his friend was apparently getting a drink. I saw him looking over when I was on the court, so why does he go silent when I go over if he looks at me so much? One of the boys who was sitting with him told me they talk a lot of **** about me and that he doesn't like me, but if that was true, why would he make it seem like he has a thing for me one day, and then changes his mood the next day? He still stares a lot! He used to talk to me... but now not so much.
