What is the best way to find out if a girl likes you?

We went to high school together for 4 years, and I got to know her a little bit better my senior year but we were still "acquaintances." I always admired her a lot for who she was as a person. But I always just saw her as a friend. Well I moved in on Sunday, and she sent me a text asking to meet up for dinner. So we did, and we checked out the campus for a few hours before meeting up with someone else. Well since that, we ended up hanging out almost everyday, usually initiated by her. Although she was really growing on me, I figured she just wanted to be friends. Then when eating dinner Thursday her and her friend were messing around and I think I heard her mutter "he friend zoned me." I don't know what to think of this. So here is my question, how should I go about this.

In my opinion option A is safe and boring. Option B sounds smart, but this girl is constantly getting chased by boys. I don't want to miss my opportunity, and I don't want her to lose interest and pull away. Option C is bold and risky. So what do you guys think?

Amazing personality, smart, hardworking, pretty, etc. But I always just saw her as a friend. Well I moved in on Sunday, and she sent me a text asking to meet up for dinner. So we did, and we checked out the campus for a few hours before meeting up with someone else. The next day she texted what are you up to. I was getting a ticket and she came along for an hour before I left to get dinner with my parents. We meet up at a festival that night, 3 of us (her and her friend, we all know each other), and later hung out in her dorm and mine, then hers. Then her friend left at around 1 am and she said want to go back to your dorm. So we split off just me and her to my dorm and talked until 2 am (my roommate came out to talk to us too). The next night she texted me lets play pool. We did that for a few hours. I think she was texting another guy and she decided to leave at 12:30 am, early for her. Then Thursday we met up for dinner again, initiated by her, and eventually got into a big group. So, I have spent over 15 hours with her this week, and half the time its just me and her. I have to say, even though I saw her as a friend before, I am really starting to like her. We have just talked and I haven't really made a move, mainly because I am surprised she keeps hanging out with me (there are probably a few boys chasing her right now, like the one that was texting her). I don't know if she feels the same way, but here is my plan. I will ask her to meet up for dinner again tomorrow and while we are eating, at some point I will just casually bring it to the table. "Are we in the friend zone?" And I will tell her I like her a lot. If she says yeah we are in the friend zone I'll just be like "sweet, I like hanging out with you. Just wanted to make sure we were on the same page." If she likes me, then I will spill it out that I like her too. What do you guys think? Is it good to be straightforward and bring it to the table? I never really had a girlfriend in high school so I am inexperienced.

I decided to ask my high school friend from 7 years ago to meet up. I can't tell if she was just friendly or what but here's the jist. I told her we can only meet for an hour but it turned into about 5-6 hours. She ended up buying me food even when I refused. So I bought her food as well hours later but she refused. She was rubbing her feet on my lower legs for about 20 min. She had exams but she kept putting it off. Eventually I told her I can walk her back. We walked around her building for 30 min or so. She told me she didn't want long distance but she wants serious relationship and there aren't many tough men out here. (we live 1 hour 30 min apart but I travel there to visit my family some weekends). We clicked really well... but doesn't mean anything I guess. She said to message her when I'm back in town. I told her to do the same if she comes back to my city to see her parents. She got really excited. Could be that we're old friends. She told me she was surprised that I wanted to meet her too since she doesn't remember us hanging out together (we just had classes together). Ok... thanks for listening lol.
She also made a big deal to tell me that she ditched a guy for me. She must have repeated herself 5 times that she really wanted to meet up with me.

I met my girlfriend her junior year of high school, my sophomore year. She sort of liked me from the first time we met, and i thought she was nice, but didn't really think anything of her.

Later in the year i heard from a friend she liked me and might wanna get with me. I started texting her, but it didn't seem like she was interested, so i started casually getting with a girl from my town. Just a spring/summer thing, ended before my junior year.

My girlfriend meanwhile didn't get with anyone junior year, or senior year, but liked me all of senior year and basically waited 6 months to get with me, as i stalled when it came to finally hanging out w her ( im shy, she's pretty and had plenty of options)

Anyway we hang and after a year together its this summer. I ask why she didn't want to hang with me her junior year, she says she had a stupid crush on this senior, and that she wanted him. She says it was just a stupid crush, but she didn't seem too into me, so im not sure. I got better looking from sophomore to junior year as well, so im insecure about that as well

She assures me that she would never be with someone who was her second choice, but either way i now feel like I was her second choice. Should i break up with her?
