For me, a guy needs to make it past the 3 month mark of getting to know eachother and practicing commitment to one another for me to genuinely consider being official girlfriend/boyfriend. Most have not even surpassed a month or two because true colors show and dealbreakers are exposed. At 6+ months is when i consider us having been in a longterm relationship. I see nothing wrong with engagement anytime after the 6 month mark although i used to prefer being together at least a year or two first. Now a days? That ain't the case 🤣 Anyways, i’ll get sexual in less than 6 months but i wouldn't consider actual sex until sometime after the 6 month mark. How long until it counts as long term dating for you?

I'm a 24 yr old premed applying to med school this year, entering school in Fall 2021. I have 14 months of 'freedom' left. Long story short, I've read that female docs have difficulty marrying if they wait til after school to prioritize relationships. What is the best way to about finding a long-term bf/fiance? Another goal of mine is to learn about investing in stocks, and become a content creator, and I also really want to get a job after COVID, to save as much as I can to invest into index funds. I have 0 debt from undergrad, and may graduate med school debt-free (if I get into my state school). I'm trying to learn about finance now so I can set up my future financial security. I also think now is an ideal time to date. I hear all this stuff about how a women is most desirable in her 20s, xyz... I often get mistaken for a high schooler though, I look quite young for my age but still. I know fertility decreases as you age, etc. I read an article which featured comments from female physicians who regretted waiting so long to prioritize relationships. I also read articles stating that men don't want someone who makes more, so my hope is that I can find a man that makes a good amount, because I won't be having any income in med school, or residency (50k before tax, I think), so hopefully even though I'll eventually make 6 figures, he won't be scared off. Oh, I should probably add that I'm an abstinent Christian who doesn't believe in cohabitation. So the 'stakes' are higher for me to choose the right person, because I won't get to see them 'at their worst' or 'in their natural habitat' before marriage. Any tips? Should I 'target' a 30 yr old, a 34 yr old? Should I try to just look for people my age? Where should I be meeting people who are looking for long-term relationships/marriage? And my church doesn't have eligible bachelors, it's family-dominated.

Have you had the experience of becoming very infatuated with one person you did not love while already in a longterm, loving relationship with another person? What choices did you make while it was happening?

Infatuation can be a bit all consuming. Love may conquer all.

So my boyfriend told me that he’s not sure if he feels about me the way he should. I asked him what that meant and he said he doesn’t know, but he’s just not sure it’s the same way I do him. I get that he means he’s not sure he sees me as someone he would be with forever, but we do get along great and he does say he really enjoys our time and doesn’t want to break up. He says he just needs time to figure it out. Is that a death sentence or have you even been indecisive and then come to feel more serious that someone could be longterm over time?
