Search Results: arguing with my best guy friend

I have a guy friend that I've known for years and we've always been best friends but for some reason this past year things went down hill: we've been arguing a lot about the weirdest things with no resolve or understanding (they just ended), he hardly says much to me when our friends hang out, he's normal with everyone but with me its as if he doesn't care whether I'm there or not. He's never mean but you can tell the difference between how he treats me compared with all of our friends but yet no one else seems to notice.

I have talked to him about it before but I never really get a direct answer. So I figure at this point he hates me and I've told a friend of mine that who kind of knows him, and she doesn't think that's the case. She believes he thinks highly of me cause supposedly he has talked about me before (in a good way).

But I feel like, if he speaks highly of me why doesn't he behave that way when I'm around. I don't want to keep talking to him about it because its at the point where we are both annoyed about whatever this "problem" is.

But there is a reason why he hardly acknowledges my presence.
