Me and my girlfriend of 2 years were best friends for 4 years before we started dating. First off let me say that I'm not religious but I realized earlier on that I didn't want to lose my virginity to just anyone, I want to lose it to my wife and I wanted my wife to be the same. A few days ago my girlfriend confessed that she knew virginity was important to me when we became best friends and that she knew I wouldn't date her if she told me that she wasn't actually a virgin. I'm not really sure what to do now, we haven't spoken except over the phone where she confessed she not only loves me but she's in love with me. I've never loved anyone else as much as her but I know I won't be able to get over this fact and her lying about it.

Since I already vented enough, I'll keep it as short as I can. I had the girlfriend from hell a few months ago, she was horrible to me and it was so bad that I was diagnosed with depression. I would be able to forget about her, but the problem is that I lost my virginity with her and she's one of the only people who know a particular secret that I have. This results in me being unable to keep her out of my head when I think about, or even hear about sex. And all of the things she did to me come back. I was thinking of finding a girl, telling her my secret, and hooking up with her as it would make her no longer the only person I've done those things with, so I can forget about her. Do you think this is a good idea?
