Search Results: my boyfriend found out that i cut

Let me set the scenario up for you...

I have been seeing this guy for about a month now (we've known each other longer than that, but I've always knocked him back until recently) and we were out having dinner together the other evening.

It didn't get off to a good start, I'd left my purse at my mum's so after driving for about 20 minutes we had to turn round and drive to the other side of town and pick up from hers. This made us late for where we originally planning on going so we decided to go into town and get a curry as it was closer.

By this time it was getting late and I was feeling a bit tired and wasn't exactly on top form after being up since half five that morning. Anyway we got in the curry house and things were going well. My boyfriend was looking a bit bored tbh and disappeared to the loo about half way through the meal. About five minutes later his phone rang..

His face dropped and he was like swear on my life, you're not lying..you're not having me on are you? Turned out his nan had had a massive stroke and a heart attack. I sent him out for a cigarette and just to give him time to gather his thoughts. He came back in and was still in a right state. He got me to feel his heart and it was pounding away like mad inside his chest.

Anyway we quickly cleared out the restaurant at which point I thought I'd lost my handbag and was in a massive tizz as well (luckily the waiter had found it, but it didn't help matters).

He drove really erratically back to mine and I had to direct him all the way home, which made me worry as he had a two hour drive back to where he was going to.

I texted him that evening to check if he was alright and rang a few times yesterday. Didn't get a reply the first or second time and the third time it rang twice and he cut me off.

Now I know this sounds slightly paranoid and bitchy but I have a feeling he used this whole thing as a ruse to get out of the evening. (Only cos I've pulled a similar stunt myself a few years back with another guy, which is why I'm suspicious)

I'm want to believe he's telling the truth but my gut is telling me otherwise. What do you think peeps?
