A couple weeks ago, my serious boyfriend got some texts from one of his childhood friends. She was basically telling him that she was talking with one of her friends, and telling him how she thought they should have dated and how bad she wanted him one night when they were hanging out (the night she was talking about them hanging out was before we started dating, and we've been dating for over a year now).

He let her know that she was crossing a line and told me that she was more than likely just drunk.
I let it go, but for some reason this situation has irked me enough to where I'm considering messaging her boyfriend on facebook and letting him know what happened.

Is this a bad idea? Do you think that my boyfriend would be upset in some way for this?
I feel like the moment has passed, and I'm not sure I should be dredging it up... but I think it would be really satisfying.

In regard to the title, I am only assuming they text a lot because although he has other people to text, I have been noticing that her name is popping up.

My boyfriend has a female friend who he’s always texting... literally. He is occupied with his phone to the point where I want to just yell at him out of frustration and jealousy.

They send memes, message on Facebook & DM's. He doesn’t hide it tho, he told me how they met and some things they talk about. I feel like they’re always texting and after doing some investigation, I think they’re new friends, not known each other for that long so I don’t understand how you can become attached when you’re new.

It’s safe to say I’m jealous and I don’t want to talk to him about it because it’s more of my own personal issue, i don’t want my paranoia and overthinking to get in the way and cause huge problems in case I’m simply overreacting.

Were in a serious and exclusive relationship so it’s not that he’s moving on from me. Heck, he introduces he as his fiancé sometimes when I’m not. My fear is he envelops feelings for her or vice versa with the amount of time they spend texting each other.

They have mutual friends so anytime there's an event, they're both there. And they were introduced by a mutual friend. I simply hate how they text because about a month ago, I saw her name on his phone but I didn’t think much of it, but lately everytime I see her name or I see him texting, I always assume it’s her and i dislike it. What I dislike more is when we’re at the gym (we’re gym rats) he’s always on his phone in between sets so obviously replying to his messages, possibly her messages and he’s told me a long time ago he doesn’t go on his phone a lot during workouts.

I dont think he’s realizing what he’s doing is bothering me or wrong because he does it Infront of me, and I don’t think he’s cheating, but I don’t get why he’s so occupied with her. I mean she’s at work right? But they seem to be able to text.
