For those of you who live in Australia, at least in Melbourne anyway, you have probably heard about Tyler Cassidy, the kid who was shot last night by police at Northcote Plaza/skate park.

Apparently he stole knives from K-mart (like Walmart I think) and he was really angry and alone screaming at the police (he was drunk they say) and threatening them if they were to do anything to him. They sprayed him with capsicum spray in the eyes but he wouldn't calm down. There were four police and three of them shot, two in the legs but one in the chest and he died. People are saying this was wrong and since it was so close to a police station they should have called for more backup.

I am really in shock about this and guiltily I admit relieved that he wasn't a friend of mine. It seems like everyone my age is dying.

Not at all long ago there was a boy who was bashed to death by a gang in Heidelberg and he was a friend of many friends.

It scares me that we have so many gangs and that people fear teens so much and think we're all bad.

What do you think about this?

I'm sorry I know it's not really a good question or much of a question at all I just can't concentrate on anything else and I kind of want people to talk to about it.

Also what I've written probably doesn't make sense but I'm way too much in shock to read over it.
