I haven't been dating or talking to anyone after my first serious relationship which was 3-4 years back. Last year I came across my crush from high school and I finally gathered courage and approached him and asked him out and he straight up rejected me, he is becoming a doc so he thinks he is up there. Anyhow, after that there were few guys who wanted to date me but i was never attracted to them so i did not even pursue them. So at this moment right now I feel there is no one for me. I have given up on love completely. All these years after the break up I have listened to other people and focused on myself but I still feel there is something missing. I have everything to be thankful for but then again I feel like my life is not progressing at all in certain areas. As far as love is concerned I dont have any hope. The guys I want, they dont want me. I only attract psychos thats why I am not attracted to them as in their personality. I dont know what to do. Does anyone feel the same? same boat as me? any advice? opinions you would like to share? usually people say dont think about it and the person will walk into your life. yeah thats all bullshit lol coz i have been there and done that too. Do you guys prefer

By dressed/dolled up I mean more feminine: hair down, dress or skirt
and jewelry with little make up

Regular/casual: hair in a pony tail, conservative clothes where I wear jacket & long pants to cover up with a scarf,
and minimal or now jewelry and make up

I don't get dolled up a lot maybe once or twice a month because I'm too lazy to do all that effort it takes into that.
I'll admit, I'm more confident when I dress up but I feel more comfortable wearing conservatively.


I noticed that when I'm all dressed up, I attract aggressive guys who are into partying and don't care about school.
I know they are only talking to me because I look extra nice. They never seem to mind that I don't party so I guess they dont care my personality. They just straight up ask if they can have my number, some don't even ask if I'm taken! They never acknowledge my existence when I'm dressed down.

When I'm in my regular (casual) outfits I don't get approached as much or by aggressive guys. These guys tend to be kind and actually try to get to know me and hold a long conversation with me.
However they hardly compliment me on my looks. And they dont give me as much attention when I'm all dolled up.

This happens at school and esp in public with random guys.
Outside of school I dress up more but when I look dolled up at school guys just look not talk to me even if I kind of know the guy.
Well in my classes because my college has too many people to recognize around campus

I wish a guy could seem interested in both my looks and personality instead of one or the other. I feel like I attract guys who only want something physical because of my looks Or really like me but are ashamed to go out with me in public
